The G610 is a Gen 6 fibre-channel switch, available in 8, 16 and 24 port models, and supports 16Gb/s fibre-channel connections out of the box. The optics can be upgraded to support 32Gb/s, which allows NVMe flash arrays to run at peak performance.

The switch can support ISL, which bonds 8 channels to provide a 256Gb/s trunk to upstream switches. The switch can also support NPIV (N_Port ID Virtualisation), which can allow the switch to act as an access gateway into a larger switch environment.
