SDxCentral: Extreme Buys the Brocade Data Center Networking Assets for $55M

SDxCentral is reporting another disposal of Brocade assets following its proposed purchase by BroadcomExtreme Networks are buying the Brocade data centre elements, 60 days after the Broadcom deal closes. The Brocade assets, alongside an agreement to acquire Avaya’s network business as well as Zebra’s Wireless LAN unit, strengthens Extreme. The new acquisitions re-position them with both high revenue generation from the acquired entities and their current business. It also gives them a more substantial play against the established data centre players.

Brocade announced that despite a delay in their merger with Broadcom, they would divest business to Extreme under their agreement.
